Annual Meals on Wheels fundraiser

Community Care North Hastings is beginning its fundraising for its Meals on Wheels program this year. Instead of focusing on Christmas donations, the program is hoping to receive donations for the Thanksgiving holiday as well. Starting Oct. 2 to 14, Foodland customers will be able to donate at the till to the program. Last year, the program raised $1,177 at Christmas. The program supplies hot meals to just under 1,000 local seniors twice a week, and frozen meals once a week. Pictured from left are Jennifer from CCNH, and Lynn and Tammy from Foodland.
