The first period was played pretty much in the Blues end, but it wasn't until late in the first, when the Jets were able to get one past the goalie, thanks to Jesse Mountney, who put one in the open corner, assisted by Brodie Cooney. Just under five and a half minutes into the second, the Jets took advantage of a power play, as Jared McCaskie passed the puck out front and Jack Kauffeldt wired it home, also assisted by Brett Cooney. Twenty six seconds later, Brett Cooney rifled one past the Blues goalie, unassisted. The Jets lead 3-0 heading into the third. Bancroft's goaltender, Ethan Glecoff, was put to the test in the third, but with some impressive saves, he shut down the Blues and the Jets won the game 3-0. Sunday, the Jets travelled down to Baltimore to face the Ice Dogs. Early in the first, Baltimore was assessed a double minor and the Jets power play line went to work, scoring two goals. The first, a minute and 51 seconds in, McCaskie roofed the puck, assisted by Kauffeldt, then just over a minute later, Carter Thrower put the puck in the back of the net from the point, assisted by Kauffeldt and McCaskie. With 2:07 left in the period, Riley Hunt put one top corner, assisted by Mountney. Andrew Miller shut down Baltimore and the Jets led 3-0 after the first. Five minutes and fourteen seconds into the second, Baltimore was on the scoreboard. A couple penalties late in the period for the Jets didn't hinder them, Brett Cooney even took the puck end to end to score a shorthanded goal, unassisted, to make it 4-1 Jets after two. Kauffeldt scored an unassistsed goal a minute and a half into the third to wrap up the Jets scoring. Baltimore answered back with two goals, but it wasn't enough and the Jets won the game 5-3. The Bantams next games are Wednesday in Napanee at 7, Friday night in Tweed at 7:45, at home Saturday at 7:30 and in Brighton on Sunday at 4:10.
