Children’s services working on camp plans

North Hastings Children’s Services is pleased with the Town of Bancroft’s decision to continue allowing the Experience Summer Camp to use Millennium Park for 2016. We are optimistic that the Town will clarify its grant process, as well as the valuation of its in-kind services, ensuring public transparency.
Since the recommendation was made to charge $5,000 to $10,000 for renting the space, there has been a strong reaction from parents and community members. We are in the process of gathering that feedback, and looking at other options. We hope to meet with representatives of Bancroft and other towns whose children attend our camp, in order to explore possibilities.
