On Nov. 18 Douglas Bauder, 52, of Faraday Township was sentenced to two years in jail and three years probation. The terms of his probation state that he must stay away from where children gather. Bauder was placed on the sex offenders’ registry, and has also been sentenced to a 10-year weapons ban.
He was arrested and charged last December in a joint effort between Homeland Security in the U.S. and the OPP’s Child Sexual Exploitation Unit.
Bauder’s computer was seized in a search of his home by police a year ago where they found images containing sexual abuse against children. They also found evidence that Bauder had been making child pornography available to others online. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
