Flying start for the Jets

On Friday, Feb. 5 the Camp Red Eagle/Parkview Dental Girls Bantam Jets faced the Cold Creek Comets in Bancroft for their first playoff game of the year. The first goal of the game was scored by #9 Macayla O’Conner in the first period, then in the second period Macayla O’Conner scored the second goal. Jade Bronson #77 scored the third and final goal of the game for a 3-0 win and a shutout for goalie Olivia Dawe #1.
On Saturday, Feb. 6 the girls travelled to Brighton to again face the Cold Creek Comets and came out victorious. In the first period the first goal was scored by #13 Alana Jentas. Second period the second goal was scored by #8 Gabrielle Burnett, then a third goal by #77 Jade Bronson, a fourth goal by #13 Alana Jentas, followed by a fifth goal by #8 Gabrielle Burnett. Early in the third period Cold Creek scored one goal and then #8 Gabrielle Burnett scored our team’s sixth goal and her third goal of the game for a hat trick!
It was an excellent weekend of hockey and a great start to the playoffs. Go Jets go!
