On May 6 a volunteer fair took place at North Hastings High School, (NHHS) in Bancroft. This event happens once every two years and grants high school students great opportunities for volunteer work.
Speaking with organizer Mrs, Betson about the event and its purpose, she said” Students come here to find any opportunities provided by the community for volunteer hours. This gives the students a chance to connect with agencies for voluntary work.”
With this event taking place at NHHS every two years, it allows all students to participate at least twice during their high school years. With this opportunity, students can gain references for scholarships and work experience to enhance their resumes. We strongly suggest students take everything they can from this experience to help them in the working world.
