Injuries result from single-car collision


On Nov. 24, at approximately  11:54 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Claude Chartrand investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Grist Mill Road, North Algona Wilberforce Twp.  One male received non-life-threatening injuries.
On the Nov. 24, at approximately 12:23 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian investigated a single motor vehicle collision.  The vehicle had struck a tree, on Rochefort Rd, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp.  The 61-year-old female driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, while the female passenger escaped without injury.  Fire and ambulance were on scene.  The female driver was taken to St. Francis Memorial Hospital for treatment. The investigation is continuing.
Lock it or Lose it
Police are reminding motorists to lock their motor vehicles. Killaloe OPP reported several incidents of vehicle entries in the Killaloe Hagarty and Richards Twp., and Madawaska Valley Twp. Loose change and tools were reported stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
Stunt Driving Charge
On Nov. 29, at approximately  2:31 p.m., while on patrol Constable Jason Golds stopped a motor vehicle on Hwy 28, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. driving at a high rate of speed. An 18-year-old man has been charged with stunt driving, operating a motor vehicle without proper validation on the plate, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and failing to have an insurance card, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. The vehicle was impounded and the driver's licence seized for seven days.
