Title: Man arrested by Killaloe OPP for breach of probation

On March 2 at 9:27 p.m., members of the Killaloe OPP detachment investigated an incident involving breach of probation and undertaking conditions in Madawaska Valley Twp.  Officers observed a male party walking on Dunn Street, in Madawaska Valley Twp. The male was found to be in breach of his probation and undertaking conditions.  As a result of police investigation, a 28-year-old man from Madawaska Valley Twp. was arrested for breach of probation, breach of undertaking. The accused was held pending bail court in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. Constable Jason Golds is the investigating officer.

Snowmobile collisions
On March 2, at approximately  3:38 p.m., members of the Killaloe OPP detachment received a call of a snowmobile collision on a trail off of Round Lake Road, in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp.  Reports indicated that a snow machine had struck a tree. The female driver of the snow machine received serious injuries and was transported to the hospital by Renfew County Ambulance. The investigation is continuing.
On March 5 at approximately 4:57 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian attended a snowmobile trail off of Cardinal Road, in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. regarding a snowmobile collision. The female driver of the snowmobile received minor injuries.  There were no charges laid.
Snowmobile safety tips
The Killaloe OPP is asking snowmobile riders to follow these simple safety tips:
Take it Easy: Always  ride within the speed limit, within your own ability and according to current trail and weather conditions.
Slow Down at Night: Ride cautiously at night and never outrun your sled headlights.
See and Be Seen: Good judgment, depth perception and quick reaction time depend on being able to see properly at all times. Slow down and keep right in reduced visibility situations like snow dust, sun glare, heavy falling snow, or when visor or glasses are fogged up; always wear bright colours and reflective materials so others can see you more easily.
Ride with Companions: Never snowmobile alone. Riding buddies can provide immediate assistance for breakdowns, when getting stuck or in emergency situations.
Be Prepared: Snowmobiling incidents occur in unpredictable and uncontrolled natural settings where each rider needs to always expect the unexpected. Snowmobiling can take you far away from emergency assistance, so each rider must be prepared by carrying a tool kit, spare parts, flashlight, first-aid kit and survival items such as high-energy food, fire-starting equipment and a compass
