Novice Jets win home tournament

On Dec. 28, Bancroft Minor Hockey hosted the first Novice Mineral Capital Cup at the North Hastings Community Centre. Four teams participated in the tournament that made for a fantastic day of hockey.
Otonabee Wolves, Ennismore Eagles and Napanee Stars came to Bancroft with the intention to win gold. After two games for each team to decide the final games, the Jets and Wolves battled it out for the A final championship. Bancroft Jets played as a team and with two solid forward lines, the hard working defensive lines, and a great day of goalkeeping, the Jets outperformed the Wolves and took home the gold medals.
Special thanks to the Bancroft District Minor Hockey Association, North Hastings Community Centre, and all the volunteers and those who donated prizes that made this tournament a success!
