Peewee girls Jets dominate Ice Kats in two games over weekend

January 20, 2016

The Leveque Brother/Rock Breaker Bancroft Peeeee Girl Jets dominated the ice in two games this past weekend when they faced the Peterborough Ice Kats.
Game one was held on home ice in Haliburton Saturday evening. The first two periods kept the score board at 0-0.
Two minutes into the third, Ava Smith and Olivia Villamere demonstrated precision puck control and passing, getting the puck to Emma Tidey who banked it in past the Peterboro goaltender.
Charity Trotter and Tidey then assisted Smith on her goal midway through the third.
An unbelievable game changing save from Courtney Semach, led the girls to a 2-0 victory.  Sunday, the Jets travelled to Peterborough with determination for another win.
Sterling Nesbitt took a shot unassisted from the top of the circle, and with a deflection the puck was in the net, and it opened up the scoring.
Continuing momentum with hard work, smart plays and solid goaltending, four more goals were achieved. Jaylin Frost, Olivia Villamere, Beth Brownlee all scored, with assists going to Elyse Ives, Charity Trotter, Frost and Villamere.
A final score of 5-0.  The girls will face the Lindsay Lynx this coming weekend in their second last regular season games.
