Police locate suspended driver

During the afternoon of Jan. 13, police received a report of a vehicle being operated by an unlicensed driver in the town of Bancroft.
Officers with the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police made patrols of the area and located the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, and investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle had his licence suspended.
Charged with driving while licence suspended; operating a motor vehicle without insurance; and operating a motor vehicle with no current vehicle permit is a 32-year-old man of the Municipality of Tudor-Cashel. He was released on an appearance notice with a first appearance date March 1.
