Residential break and enter in North Algona Wilberforce Twp




On Feb. 11 at approximately 3:27 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jason Golds attended a residence on Mask Road in North Algona Wilberforce Twp. regarding a break and enter. The residence had been entered and various personal items and cash were stolen. The OPP scenes of crimes officer attended the scene to photograph the area. The investigation is continuing.



Impaired driving charge


On Feb. 13 at approximately 7:56 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Cassibo and Constable Nisbet attended Highway 60, and Twin Maple Lane in North Algona Wilberforce Twp. regarding a personal injury motor vehicle collision. Information indicated that one of the vehicles had rolled over and a female had been trapped inside. Police, along with the fire department, and the ambulance attended the scene along with Ornge Air Ambulance. Highway 60 was temporarily shut down to allow Ornge to land at the scene. Two persons were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As a result of police investigation, a 54-year-old woman of North Algona Wilberforce Twp. was charged with impaired driving.



Police investigate collisions


The Killaloe OPP was busy on the roadways with multiple collisions. On Feb. 9, at approximately 10:14 a.m., OPP Constable Ryan Szczygiel investigated a collision that occurred on River Road in Brudenell. Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle was towed. No charges were laid.


On Feb. 9, at approximately 5:19 p.m., OPP Constable Jordan Bullis attended Highway 60 in North Algona Wilberforce Twp. to investigate a two-vehicle collision. A 24-year-old man from Laurentian Valley Twp. has been charged with following too closely. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.



Stunt driving charges


On Feb. 11 at approximately 3:22 p.m., a car was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. Charged with stunt driving is a 22-year-old woman of Petawawa. Her licence was suspended for seven days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
