Ever since the first of the year, Coe Hill Public School students have been witnessing tiny lake trout fry grow in a special aquarium in their library, and on May 15 participated in the release of the fish into their new home of Wollaston Lake. The project is a joint venture of the North Hastings Wildlife Association, Wollaston Lake Home and Cottage Association, and Coe Hill Public School. Approximately 30 students, parents, and other interested persons gathered in the rain to witness the release of 129 small fish by students coached by their principal Rob Lake. This has become an annual event for the students at their school.
