Title: Tough loss for the Bierworth Readi-Mix Bantams

On Saturday, the Bantam Jets hosted the Napanee Stars. Three minutes into the game, Napanee took the lead. A lead they held onto most of the first, but with two minutes left, Brett Cooney passed the puck out front, where Jack Kauffeldt made no mistake putting it in the net, to tie the game.  With just under a minute left, Napanee scored again, to lead 2-1 heading into the second. The second period was action packed with both teams battling hard. With 2:08 left, Brodie Cooney blasted a hard angled shot that beat the goalie, to once again tie it up, unassisted. A penalty for the Jets with less than a minute left, proved costly, as Napanee scored on the power play to make it 3-2 after two.  Five minutes into the third, the Jets celebrated as they tied it up, but their celebration was cut short as the goal was called off.  The Jets played great the rest of third, but despite many chances, they just weren't able to score and they lost the game 3-2.
The Bantams next games are Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m., both at home.
