Bancroft and Area Kids in Need in partnership with the Bancroft OPP, Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society, Moose FM, local merchants and community volunteers try to ensure that every child in the Bancroft area will have a present under their tree on Christmas morning.

The toy drive program is designed to assist children of low income families residing in Faraday Township, Wollaston Township, Limerick Township, Cashel Township, Carlow-Mayo Township, Town of Bancroft, Municipality of Hastings Highlands and the Municipality of Highlands East.

This year, families under financial restraints can register children who are 12 years of age and under (born 2003 to present) for the program.

Registration will be held at the Bancroft OPP Detachment on the following dates, between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.:
Monday, Dec. 7
Tuesday, Dec .8
Thursday, Dec. 10
Friday, Dec. 11

The registering adult must be the permanent custodial parent or legal guardian and attend the OPP detachment in person to complete the form and display proof of residence and custody of the child they are registering.

The child must be a permanent Bancroft resident to be registered in the program.

New, unwrapped toys can be donated at the Bancroft OPP, Canadian Tire, Red Apple, I.D.A., Foodland, Shoppers Drug Mart, TD Bank, Scotiabank and Kawartha Credit Union in Bancroft or Coe Hill between Monday, Dec. 7 and Friday, Dec 11.
Financial donations can be made at the Bancroft OPP detachment. Bancroft and Area Kids in Need is a registered charity and can issue receipts.
