Two wins for the Peewee Jets

The Vito’s Pizzeria Peewee Jets travelled to Stirling Saturday, Dec. 5 to face off against the Blues. The Jets’ offence started the game with a breakaway save by Phillip Cannon. Shortly after, Owen Fergusson opened the scoring with and end-to-end rush (assisted by defense Connor Sobry). The Jets take a 1-0 lead. Gavin Plunkett (assisted by defense Trevor McDowell and Jonathon Young) then capitalizes on a misplay by the Blues defense ending the second period 2-0 for the Jets.
Solid checking and defence for the entire third period pays off with a final score of 2-0 for Bancroft. A shutout for Phillip Cannon in net.
The next day was a home game versus the Loyalist Jets. Bancroft opens the scoring with solid fore-checking and holding the line. Gavin Plunkett assisted by Desi Davies and Cody Switzer banged the first goal of the game in. A dangle, a drag and a tuck behind the net by Owen Fergusson results in Bancroft’s second goal, assisted by defence Tanner Potts. This turned into a high scoring game for the Bancroft Jets. Third goal by Colson West (Ryker Huygens and Owen Fergusson), Fourth goal by Trevor McDowell assisted by Desi Davies. Fifth goal from Colson West assisted by Desi Davies. Sixth goal by Gavin Plunkett assisted by Desi Davies. Seventh goal put in by Desi Davies assisted by Ryker Huygens. Owen Fergusson assisted by Ryker Huygens and Colson West put in the eighth and last goal for the team. Ben Landry in his home opener in net gets a Shutout. Final score for Bancroft 8-0.
