Check out The North Hastings Community Services Information Fair on Friday, Oct.2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bancroft. Over 40 local, not-for-profit agencies will be offering information at staffed booths to seniors, adults, families, youth and children about FREE and low cost services and programs.
The Fair will feature over 40 booths from a wide variety of service providers and someone will be available at each booth to speak to the public about their particular program or service. Information will be available about health, mental health, addictions, transportation, legal supports, senior programs, youth programs, parenting, child care, volunteering, housing, resource and support, advocacy, disabilities, dementia, education, safety, aboriginal, fostering, end of life care, food programs, food bank, community gardens, policing, career planning, financial supports, employment services, small business development, libraries and recreation.
Bancroft Community Transit will provide free transportation from all areas outside of Bancroft. Call 613-332-2732 by Sept. 30 to pre-book a ride to the Fair.
The TROUT is providing unlimited free rides for everyone along its Bancroft Route from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with special stops at the Legion twice hourly.
Many draw prizes have been donated by the local agencies and anyone who attends the North Hastings Community Services Information Fair may enter their name in the ballot box to win a prize. There is something here for everyone and this is a great opportunity to learn about your local services. We look forward to seeing you at the Bancroft Legion on Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
